Ever wanted to visit the Maldives but thought it out of reach?

Well, now it seems you can get a taste of the tropical destination without having to leave the country.

New water villas have opened in the newly renovated Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa in Holsworthy, North Devon and they look like pure luxury.

There are 17 lakes in total in the holiday park resort, with the stunning villas offering waterside views and private hot tubs.

Prices start at just £52 per person, per night, and guests can relax in style on the private floating deck that has incredible lakeside views.

The resort also has many other amenities to be enjoyed. There is an expansive spa and pool complex, with infinity pool, sauna, leisure centre and treatment rooms.

Meanwhile, outdoor activities like cycling, paddle boarding and fishing are also on offer.

The resort is located 22 miles north of Dartmoor National Park, and is only a 30-minute drive from Cornwall’s north coast meaning there is much to explore.
