Backyard Cinema has launched its winter programme of outdoor screenings. The Manchester venue is on the roof of Depot Mayfield, while London’s is in Armoury Way, Wandsworth.

Both are set among ‘snow-topped trees’ and twinkling stars for you to cosy up to the likes of Elf and The Muppet Christmas Carol. There are also food and drink stalls, including one where you can build your own boozy hot chocolate.

Tickets for shows in London and Manchester from £11, at Backyard Cinema.

If you’re a bit ‘bah, humbug’, then embrace Grinchmas with a new Grinch afternoon tea bus tour in London on a Routemaster.

You’ll breeze past some of the capital’s landmarks while tucking into a green- themed menu in the style of one of Dr Seuss’s most famous characters. How about ‘sweet as Cindy-Lou WHO’ lime pie?

Departs at varied times between Dec 1 and Jan 31, from £57pp, vegan and gluten-free available.
