Head coach of Great Olympics, Coach Yaw was left disappointed on Saturday after his team lost on penalties to Legon Cities FC in the MTN FA Cup competition.
In a Round 32 encounter between the two top-flight league clubs, both sides were keen on securing a win to advance to the next stage of this season’s domestic cup competition.
With the game ending in a stalemate, Great Olympics fell short in the shootout as Legon Cities secured the victory.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Yaw Preko lamented how his attackers missed so many chances in regulation time.
“Look at one on one with the goalkeeper. How on earth do you miss such a chance and as usual it will come back to haunt you,” the Great Olympics coach rued.
According to him, there are plans to sign attackers in the January transfer window to solve the problems in attack.
“The window is open. We see if we can get one or two players, one or two strikers who can the ball at the back of the net…we’ll see how best we can fill that gap,” coach Yaw Preko indicated.
