The UK is bracing itself for more ongoing travel disruption as fresh strikes occur in multiple sectors – including considerable turmoil in the nation’s capital.

So far in 2022, industrial action has been seen in areas like the legal profession, air travel, telecommunications, refuse collection, and more, with workers voting to strike over pay and conditions.

Now, in a UK first, nurses have also voted to strike.

Disruptions to travel have been some of the most impactful on the public, with the RMT (National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) recently renewing its mandate for strike action.

With more industrial action on the way, here is the latest information on TfL Train and Bus strikes, as well as Postal strike dates in London.

Complete information on disruption to TfL services is available on their web page dedicated to industrial action.

When are the next train strikes in London?

The next Network Rail strikes are due tomorrow (Saturday, 19) and Monday, November 21.

While most TfL services will be running, Elizabeth Line services are due to be affected by both strikes and planned works, meaning disruption to trains from Saturday, November 19 until Tuesday, November 22.

Other National Rail strikes that were due to affect London Overground services planned for 26 November have been suspended, though other National Rail services may be affected.

Regarding tube services, there is a planned strike at tube stations also coming up on 25 November, meaning that, while tube trains should be unaffected, stations may open later and close earlier, often at short notice.

Stations potentially affected include Euston, Heathrow Terminals 2 – 5, Green Park, Hatton Cross, Hounslow West, King’s Cross St Pancras, and Victoria.

Though Royal Mail has said they have ‘well-developed contingency plans’, they have also warned that they ‘cannot fully replace the daily efforts of our frontline workforce’ and disruption is likely.

Special Delivery and Tracked 24 parcels, as well as delivery of COVID test kits and medical prescriptions, are going to be prioritised during strike days.

However, letters (except for special delivery) will not be delivered.
