Ciara is back with more hair inspiration. On Jan. 13, the singer’s glam team posted a few behind-the-scenes shots from a recent photo shoot, and Ciara’s new platinum hair was on full display.
In a video posted by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, Ciara’s new color was a stark, almost-white shade, and her shadow roots gave a glimpse at her natural hue. Her hair was styled into loose waves that fell just below her shoulders. The cool-toned color was accentuated by a soft, smoky eye and milky-pink lip color.
Platinum hair recently surged in popularity after numerous A-list celebrities were spotted in the color. Kim Kardashian revealed her version of the shade at last year’s Met Gala, Gigi Hadid took the look for a spin during Fashion Month, and even Ariana Grande dyed her hair to get into character for “Wicked.”
There’s no doubt the look is bold and sexy, but platinum is one of the most high-maintenance colors to dye your hair. If you’re considering making the switch, be sure to go to a professional. In the meantime, put Ciara’s new hair on your mood board.
