Animal Control Board

The shelter is governed by a representative board. The board includes two representatives from each local government, Johnson City and Washington County, and the president of the local humane society.

The board meets quarterly to discuss policy and current events at the shelter. If you have an issue that you have been unable to resolve through the animal shelter's director, you can ask to attend one of the quarterly meetings. Call 423-926-8769 for an appointment.
